database disk image is malformed???

Anyone know what could possibilty cause this error?

The program I had runs fine on redhat linux,... but I am in the process
of porting it in another OS. 
When I run it, it gives

"login failed, cannot connect to database mpegvb
database disk image is malformed"

I checked the database using the sqlite interface, but its fine.  


Any ideas?
