Cascading (recursive) delete triggers

I have asked a couple weeks but got no answer:

Is it not possible for SQLite to do recursive triggers?

A trigger on delete in which a DELETE is invoked does not itself 
call the trigger. Why not?

Can I expect this to be implemented in a future version?
