I tried different combinations.

The Platform I'm using is SuSE9.2. It ships with a MYSQL-Client 4.0.21-4.
The Server ist running MySQL 4.1.7.

When I try to create a database connection with rekall, the program reports 
the message "Client does not support authentication protocol requested by 
server; consider upgrading MySQL client" right after the authentication.

The upgrade to MySQL-client-4.1.7-0 didn't bring the solution.

Rekall expects the library "libmysqlclient.so.12" which is installed by 
MYSQL-Client 4.0.21-4. MySQL-client-4.1.7-0 provides "libmysqlclient.so.14" 
which is ignored by Rekall.

When the old client version is removed, Rekall reports, that it couldn't find 
"libmysqlclient.so.12".

Any ideas ?
