Munin: Permission denied in writing to web directory

I'm running RHEL4. Installed Munin. Have toyed around with it, but can't seem 
to get it to write to my web directory. I'm still cutting my teeth as a 
sysadmin so any pointers would be helpful! Let me know if you need any more 
detail about my setup:

Here's a sample error from the graph.log.

$ cat munin-graph.log
Dec 15 19:45:07 - Unable to graph

$ cat /etc/munin/conf
dbdir   /var/lib/munin
htmldir /var/www/vhosts/xxxsitexxx.com/subdomains/admin/httpdocs/munin
logdir  /var/log/munin
rundir  /var/run/munin

$ cat /etc/cron.d
*/5 * * * *     munin test -x /usr/bin/munin-cron && /usr/bin/munin-cron

$ ls -al
drwxrwx---  12 cwaret psaserv  4096 Dec 15 05:53 .
drwxr-xr-x   5 root       root     4096 Dec 10 23:40 ..
drwxrwxrwx   2 munin      munin    4096 Dec 15 19:22 munin

$ ps -ef | grep munin
root     12182     1  0 05:31 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sbin/munin-node
bprater  12248  9337  0 19:09 pts/17   00:00:00 tail -f munin-graph.log
bprater  32573  6805  0 19:39 pts/1    00:00:00 grep munin

However, if I run:
# /usr/share/munin/munin-update --force-root

It will write the files. So it must be working. (And mess up all kinds of 
permissions too! The problem was occuring before I forced root, btw.)
