Thanks for your answer.

My libnet-server-perl: 0.87-3sarge1

The problem was solved when I solved other issues with an ipmi-plugin.
It seems that the plugin's problem caused munin-node to die. Anyhow now
it is working.

And thanks for the reference to 'strace'. I forgot about that debugging
option.
