Subject: Re: HEADS UP RRDtool problem on Debian Testing and others

Hi there,

I've just installed munin and munin-node on  a Debian 4.0 system and I experience none of problems from Debian bug number 397691
(munin-graph eating up all memory).

Ah, wait, let me check the version of the packages I'm running on Debian 4.0:

munin: Version: 1.2.5-1
munin-node: Version: 1.2.5-1
rrdtool: Version: 1.2.15-0.2
librrd2: Version: 1.2.15-0.2
librrds-perl:
Version: 1.2.15-0.2

I suppose 1.21.15-0.2 is a fix to the previous version.

Greetings,
Pierre

Hi!

This morning, I updated the rrdtool and librrds-perl packages on my
machine. Since then, I have a problem with munin-graph growing
limitless. This is known under the following Debian Bug IDs: #397691 and
#398111. The combined bug report refers to
   http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool-trac/ticket/54

Do not upgrade RRDtool if you want Munin to continue operating. Or,
possibly, use lazy graph generation.

RRDtool 1.2.11 is known to be OK, 1.2.15 has the bug.
