i tried this, and see in the munin-node.log that an error is being
generated (example):


Dec 07 11:20:05 [4570] - Unable to update
/var/lib/munin/domain/my.domain-temperatures-KSEA-g.rrd: conversion of
'6.1 ' to float not complete: tail ' '


so i suspect that the regex used to convert the data is not quite right.

when i run

munin-node --debug temperatures | od -c

i see an extra 'space' after the value and prior to the \n

is that the source of the error? my interpretation of the perl regex
may be wrong here.
