The new processes-plugin can be found here:

http://munin.projects.linpro.no/ticket/441

or at muninexchange. Example graphs for SunOS, Linux and FreeBSD:

http://munin.projects.linpro.no/attachment/ticket/441/plugin_processes.jpg

It has been rewritten to work on:

* Linux (tested)
* SunOS (tested)
* FreeBSD (tested)
* OpenBSD (manually tested)
* NetBSD (manually tested)
* Darwin (OSX) (manually tested)

It require munin-server 1.2.5 or 1.3.3 (or greater) - since it uses
field-colours. It's written in sh and uses uname to determine the OS,
ps to fetch the process state, and awk to format the result. If you
don't want to use the ps and awk found in $PATH, they can be specified
as variabled in plugin-conf.d/munin-node.

Is should be backwards compatible with the old processes-plugin
(tested on Linux and SunOS).

All fields have colours associated with them which reflect the type of
process (sleeping/idle = blue, running = green, stopped/zombie/dead =
red, etc.)

Please test and report any error/feedback directly to me, or as a
comment to ticket #441 (link above).
