Re: Problem with two replicators: msg#00004

Subject: Re: Problem with two replicators
Rick

I knew I would be confused :-)

In the pgreplicate.conf for the primary (upper) replicator I have:

<Host_Name> rep_1 </Host_Name>
<Replication_Port> 8001 </Replication_Port>
<Recovery_Port> 8101 </Recovery_Port>
<RLOG_Port> 8301 </RLOG_Port>
<Response_Mode> normal </Response_Mode>
<Use_Replication_Log> no </Use_Replication_Log>
<Replication_Timeout> 1min </Replication_Timeout>
<LifeCheck_Timeout> 3s </LifeCheck_Timeout>
<LifeCheck_Interval> 15s </LifeCheck_Interval>

and for the second (lower) replicator I have:

<Host_Name> rep_2 </Host_Name>
<Replication_Port> 8001 </Replication_Port>
<Recovery_Port> 8101 </Recovery_Port>
<RLOG_Port> 8301 </RLOG_Port>
<Response_Mode> normal </Response_Mode>
<Use_Replication_Log> no </Use_Replication_Log>
<Replication_Timeout> 1min </Replication_Timeout>
<LifeCheck_Timeout> 3s </LifeCheck_Timeout>
<LifeCheck_Interval> 15s

Are you saying that they need to be the other way around? The
pgreplicate.conf for the primary replicator needs to point to the
secondary (lower) replicator and the pgreplicate.conf for the secondary
replicator needs to point to the primary replicator?

I have to admit that I'm not clear on what you mean :-(
