Dynamic IP - pg_hba: msg#00228db.postgresql.novice
Hi! How do I configure acess to Postgres for a number of clients that use dynamic IP-addresses? The configuration (Postgres 7.2.3, RH 8, W2K clients) works and clients can connect with the host fine with static IP-addresses. I think I need to update the pg_hba.conf file with some type of pattern that will be matches @ runtime but I can't figure out the format of the entries. Can some1 send me a sample pg_hba file, or suggest the matching rules? Thanx! -Dirk ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster |
