How else to make a serial SQL definition: msg#00123db.postgresql.novice
I couldn't figure out what mailing list would be the right place for this question I need to know if there is a SQL table creation method that would work for both PostgreSQL and MySQL to create a incremental field like 'id serial' My program needs to access the sequence value after a record is added to create a link to it from another table I have it working in Perl for PostgreSQL but would like for it also to work under MySQL ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 1: subscribe and unsubscribe commands go to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
