jdbc functions and bytea values

I'm trying to put a bytea into a callable statement (a plpgsql
function) using current CVS drivers.

Has anybody done such a thing? I can't seem to get it to work -
before I start fixing it (/8->) I want to know whether there is some
dead chicken I have to wave over it...

TIP 2: you can get off all lists at once with the unregister command
