Problem runnning postmaster under win95 (with successfully initdb execution)

Hi, I write this message because i can't found any message about the problem 
I have when try to execute postgreSQL under CygWin. I have installed last 
version of Cygwin and postgreSQL 7.4.1 under Windows 95. I can create cluster 
of databases with initdb, running ipc-daemon2 before. The problem arise when 
I try to run postmaster (like the REAME says for this case) and its abort 
with a message of "Unix socket: protocol not implemented" or something else, 
and the analogous running a remote connection.
Is a configuration problem? Or is about the way I execute IPC daemon? Or 
something else beyond my scope?
Finally, i confese my only interest about run postgreSQL is for multiplatform 
compliant of my systems, I successfully run thems under Linux.

Hola, escribo este mensaje dado que no he encontrado en los mensajes uno 
sobre el problema que tengo al querer ejecutar postgres bajo cygwin. Instale 
la ultima version, tanto de cygwin como de postgres (no recuerdo cual es la 
de cygwin, pero es la 7.4.1 de postgres) bajo windows 95. Pude crear el 
cluster correctamente mediante initdb, teniendo el demonio ipc (ipc-daemon2) 
corriendo. El problema es al querer ejecutar el postmaster, ya sea localmente 
o de forma remota, sale inmediatamente indicando como error "Unix socket: 
protocol not implemented" o algo asi en la version local (que justamente debe 
usar la implementacion de los sockets de Unix que esta supuestamente 
corriendo con ipc) y el mismo mensaje pero con TCP/IP, claro, para la version 
remota. ¿ Es algun problema de configuracion? ¿O se trata de la forma de 
ejecutar el demonio IPC? 
Por ultimo, mi intencion de funcionar postgreSQL bajo windows es solo por 
disponibilidad de multiplataforma, puesto que no he tenido problema alguno 
bajo Linux.
