One step ahead: msg#00116db.oracle.devel
Hi all listers, I finally grabbed a cd set of oracle 9i release 1. I successfully instaled it on my windows 2000 machine. However now I have another couple of problems. Firstly when I ran the cd for installation of oracle client on my windows 98 box, I get an error saying that cannot find jre_1.1.7 in c:\windows\temp\orainstall\jre\bin\jrew.exe. I don't understand what the hel is the problem. I tried to install java run-time but it still gives the same error. Secondly my 98 machines are on the network and belong to a work group. I have configured my windows 2000 machine with a workgroup and all the other windows computers are a part of the same work group. I want to know if the oracle client will still be installed. And yes I want to know where and what steps should I take to get this jre problem solved. thanks very much in advance. Thanks, Krishnakant. --- Change your mail options at http://p2p.wrox.com/manager.asp or to unsubscribe send a blank email to leave-oracle-1796914O@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
