Subject: Re: to study PL/SQL or Java ?

Hi.

My personal point of view is:

- if you are talking about server-side development then PL/SQl is by
far and large the best choice. I have seen few people really trying to
use Java in the server

- Oracle Forms is a tool that won't be around for many more years and I
don't think there is a point in learning it now. If you already know
Oracle Forms then there are some legacy application you will be able to
work with, but few new projects are designed for Oracle Forms

- That's why I say that when thinking about the application side then
the first decision is about the platform you want to work with: J2EE or
.NET. If it is J2EE then you will stick to Java. If it is .NET you will
want to learn C#, VB or ASP.
