to study PL/SQL or Java ?: msg#00026db.oracle.devel
Dear all: To program against Oracle I am assuming that one has to know PL/SQL very, very well but also Java too to some extent. Is this true ? Do you tend to mix the two ? By the way, do many of you out there on this list make your daily living programming against Oracle in PL/SQL or Java or Forms ? Or all three ? I assume that not all of us here are Oracle beginners - there must be some full-time programmers in here too. Java and PL/SQL are both languages that people do not use to it's fullest extend - meaning that most folks programming in it everyday might use 25-30% of the capabilities of the language - not anywhere near 100%. Do you find this to be true ? I'd really like some comments on the above from you guys. Thanks a lots everybody for reading. And Christmas is only 28 days away !
