SELECT ........ MAX() Problem: msg#00146db.mysql.windows
OS: Win XP SP1 MySQL: MySQL-max 4.1.2alpha Pgmg Lang: VB6 I have two SQL Statements MySQLDBRS.Open "SELECT church_id FROM church_church MAX(church_id)" MySQLDBRS.Open "SELECT member_id FROM church_member MAX(member_id)" that return incorrect information. I originally thought the first statement was returning correct information but further thinking shows that false. The highest church_id is 1. (It should return a 1 but since there is only one record that is why I "thought" it was correct.) Statement two also returns a 1 when there are 3 records and the highest member_id is 3, I realize that statement one is returning incorrect data. I am trying to find the highest vale if church_id and member_id. Does anyone see what I am doing wrong? I've looked in several places and cannot see any problem. Now I think it is time for another set of eyes to help out. Thanks for your help.
