why doesn't MySQL support MyOLEDB?

Are there any problems with MyOLEDB?
Why doesn't MySQL support it?   I spoke with Microsoft, 
Because MyODBC doesn't work correctly on Windows ME and they 
Said I should be using MyOLEDB anyway.

Any thoughts are welcome.
