Error 2003: msg#00114db.mysql.windows
Deat sir/madam, I keep getting this error message when I run a c:\mysql\bin\mysql.exe test and cannot find a way of overcomming it. The error is: "ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' <10061>" I am running Win XP Pro with IIS 5 server. My server is running fine and my PHP test is ok. I have set up MySQL and ran WinMySQLAdmin and the my.ini file generated is as follows: #This File was made using the WinMySQLAdmin 1.4 Tool #20/02/2003 13:13:03 #Uncomment or Add only the keys that you know how works. #Read the MySQL Manual for instructions [mysqld] basedir=C:/mysql #bind-address=127.0.0.1 datadir=C:/mysql/data #language=C:/mysql/share/your language directory #slow query log#= #tmpdir#= #port=3306 #set-variable=key_buffer=16M [WinMySQLadmin] Server=C:/mysql/bin/mysqld-nt.exe user=elias password=elias When I check net start at the command prompt mysql is listed as running! I appreciate that you cannot answer individual queries but will be very grateful if you could advise me of how to overcome this problem Thanking you Elias Joudeh --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please check "http://www.mysql.com/Manual_chapter/manual_toc.html" before posting.
