RE: MysqlDump question: msg#00090db.mysql.windows
Did you password protect all variations of root? And for web access, you don't need to give public read access. You plug a user name and password into the page code where you build the connection. -- Loren McDonald mysql-ml@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: Alan McDonald [mailto:alan@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, February 17, 2003 6:09 PM To: win32@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: MysqlDump question MySQL MySQLDump What does it mean if I can successfully run a mysqldump command to dump a database without having to supply a username or password switch. I am sure I have created the correct users/priveleges.. Does it just mean that I have given public read access to the database (as you would need to do for a website db)? or is there something else I need to have done? thanks alan --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please check "http://www.mysql.com/Manual_chapter/manual_toc.html" before posting.
