RE: mysql -> ODBC -> envelopes in Word

The first part is easy, you need to create an ODBC connection to the
database in question. Read the MyODBC documentation and use the Data
Sources applet to do that. Where you find the applet depends on your OS:
Control Panel or Control Panel/Administrative Tools.

As for the actual selecting and importing -- I've never done any kind of
mail merging.

I was told that one can access a mysql address database by means of ODBC
from Word, so that I can print the sender's and the receiver's on
envelopes. I have installed myODBC and I am running mysql-nt-max or
something, version 3.59, if I remember correctly.

How do I load my address table into Word for printing? The open
data-source dialogue box in Word does not list any mysql file-types, but
it lists Paradox, Access and some other database types.

If I only want to print envelopes to a subset of my address database,
how
to I load the results of a query in Word for printing?

These questions are maybe more about Word then about mysql, but I would
appreciate if anyone can help me out.
