RE: ODBC "Lost connection to MySQL server during query": msg#00032db.mysql.odbc
Here's an interesting observation. I am using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver on Windows XP. If I connect to a MySQL server running on Windows using TCP/IP, as long as my "Time that unused connections remain in the pool in seconds" setting is less than the wait_timeout setting, all is well. If the setting is greater than the wait_timeout, I experience the error. If I connect to a MySQL server running on Linux using TCP/IP, I get the error every 8 hours (default wait_timeout setting) even though "Time that unused connections remain in the pool in seconds" is 60 seconds.
