RE: odbc clarification: msg#00027db.mysql.odbc
What driver(s) are included by default? Probably only those for connecting to Access and SQL Server. Not that this constitutes anti-competitive behavior or anything ;-) Tim -----Original Message----- From: Shubod | VCS [mailto:shubod@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, May 08, 2006 10:52 AM To: Eric Lommatsch; myodbc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: odbc clarification Without having to install MySQL ODBC is there any possiblity to connect using any of the default windows drivers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric Lommatsch" <EricL@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Shubod | VCS" <shubod@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <myodbc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 08, 2006 7:29 PM Subject: RE: odbc clarification My experience has been that all I needed to to to get an ODBC connection from a Windows Box to a UNIX/LINUX box is install the MySQL ODBC driver on the Windows Box and setup an ODBC connection that points to the MySQL Database on the Linux/Unix Box. Doing this you should be able to get the Webpage to MySQL. Thank you Eric H.
