RE: how to use myodbc?

Have you set up a DSN (data source name) in Control Panel/Administrative
Tools/Data Sources (ODBC)?

You define an ODBC data source there and then use it in your application.
Depending on your application you may not need ODBC at all. I only use ODBC
to access MySQL databases from MS Access.

i use win xp, i ve instal Driver Installer (zipped EXE) and Driver Installer
(MSI) but i cant use it? when i instal there is an error but i ignore it and
it finished.
  on ODBC has show driver MysqlAB but when i want to use it for my
