ADO Connection RecordCount: msg#00110db.mysql.odbc
Hi there, i have read many postings about the problems with the recordcount sql statement within asp/ado code. i tried all the hints about cursortype, Locktype.... but got always the result -1. my iis and mysqldatabases was installed on different machines. at the iis host there was an system dns over myodbc 3.51 and tcpip. after i installed the mysql database on the iis host everthing works fine. RecordCount always result the right numbers of records in my tabel. And now my question: is it really necessary to install both on the same machine ?!?
