NO DATA Error while retrieving data, MyODBC driver: msg#00073db.mysql.odbc
More details, I set the Trace myODBC flag option and the log file has the following events registered, it looks like the driver is able to return the first data on the table but fails after a while. Any ideas of why this might be happening? Note: on the development PC thist never happens and both PCs are in the same LAN, the MySQL database is in an online server. TheHAdminUI is the CMS application. tia, Lizet TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetData with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) HSTMT 07152398 UWORD 4 SWORD -8 <SQL_C_WCHAR> PTR 0x001B4AF8 [ 32] "101 south oxford" SQLLEN 4094 SQLLEN * 0x0012F118 (32) TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLGetData HSTMT 07152398 UWORD 5 SWORD -8 <SQL_C_WCHAR> PTR 0x001B4AF8 SQLLEN 4094 SQLLEN * 0x0012F118 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetData with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) HSTMT 07152398 UWORD 5 SWORD -8 <SQL_C_WCHAR> PTR 0x001B4AF8 SQLLEN 4094 SQLLEN * 0x0012F118 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLGetDiagRecW SQLSMALLINT 3 SQLHANDLE 07152398 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLWCHAR * 0x001B2FB8 (NYI) SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F09C SQLWCHAR * 0x001B45A8 (NYI) SQLSMALLINT 512 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0012F094 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetDiagRecW with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) SQLSMALLINT 3 SQLHANDLE 07152398 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLWCHAR * 0x001B2FB8 (NYI) SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F09C SQLWCHAR * 0x001B45A8 (NYI) SQLSMALLINT 512 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0012F094 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLGetConnectAttrW SQLHDBC 071515E8 SQLINTEGER 1209 <unknown> SQLPOINTER 0x0019CA80 SQLINTEGER 1024 SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F0AC TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetConnectAttrW with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLHDBC 071515E8 SQLINTEGER 1209 <unknown> SQLPOINTER 0x0019CA80 SQLINTEGER 1024 SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F0AC (0) TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLGetInfoW HDBC 071515E8 UWORD 6 <SQL_DRIVER_NAME> PTR 0x0019CA80 SWORD 1024 SWORD * 0x0012F0B8 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetInfoW with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) HDBC 071515E8 UWORD 6 <SQL_DRIVER_NAME> PTR 0x0019CA80 [ 22] "myodbc3.dll" SWORD 1024 SWORD * 0x0012F0B8 (22) TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLGetConnectAttrW SQLHDBC 071515E8 SQLINTEGER 1209 <unknown> SQLPOINTER 0x0019CA80 SQLINTEGER 1024 SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F0C4 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLGetConnectAttrW with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLHDBC 071515E8 SQLINTEGER 1209 <unknown> SQLPOINTER 0x0019CA80 SQLINTEGER 1024 SQLINTEGER * 0x0012F0C4 (0) TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLMoreResults HSTMT 07152398 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLMoreResults with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) HSTMT 07152398 TheHAdminUI 26c-628 ENTER SQLFreeStmt HSTMT 07152398 UWORD 0 <SQL_CLOSE> TheHAdminUI 26c-628 EXIT SQLFreeStmt with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) HSTMT 07152398 UWORD 0 <SQL_CLOSE> -----Original Message----- From: Lizet Peña de Sola [mailto:lizet@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 1:07 PM To: 'myodbc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: NO DATA Error while retrieving data, MyODBC driver Hello, I'm currently developing a NET application to do the content management of a web site, the windows application uses the myODBC driver 3.51 to connect to the online MySQL data base. On the development machine there's no problem, but on the other PCs I have installed the application and the ODBC driver I always get an error. The error is NO DATA available, I know the connection with the database is established cause the authentication against the database is performed and also the user's authentication is done. I'm wondering if the driver fails retrieving large amounts of data, if it is not installed properly or I should set the time out period to a larger constant. Any ideas? tia, Lizet Peña de Sola. lizet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Note: This communication is strictly confidential and is intended solely for the person to whom it is addressed.
