Microsoft Visual Interdev Record Locking: msg#00030db.mysql.odbc
I am new to MySQL and am attempting to replace a large Access database with an internet application written within Microsoft Interdev more appropriate to our WAN setting. It is a multiuser environment and I want to prevent a second individual from editing a record already being edited. Record locking is "built in" within Access. Looking at MySQL documentation, I believe I need an InnoDB table type. I am hoping to use the Interdev Recordset Design-Time Control. All is fine using client-side cursors (optomistic record locking). As soon as I change to server-side cursors (pessimistic record locking) the IIS responds with an error for recordset.asp (background supporting code). I have used Interdev for a while but don't consider myself an expert by any means. Any suggestions for implementing record locking for this environment? -- MySQL ODBC Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/myodbc To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/myodbc?unsub=gcdmo-myodbc@xxxxxxxxxxx
