Subject: DBDesigner on MacOS X? - msg#00018

List: db.mysql.mycc

Date: Prev Next Index Thread: Prev Next Index
I'm very sorry if this seems like a silly question but...

Is there any way to build FabForce DBDesigner4 for X11 on MacOS X?

I realize that the MySQL Workbench (correct title?) is being developed, but I'd like to have something on my Mac sooner.

Thoughts?

Brandon Whitehead

You can export your tables there in various formats. I am wondering why you downloaded Control Center, it is deprecated since almost two years now. Could you tell why you downloaded it and not Query Browser - I am curious. Re: DBDesigner on MacOS X?

Hi Brandon, DBDesigner4 cannot run on OS X. That is one reason the MySQL Workbench is a complete rewrite using C libraries and native frontends, Cocoa on OS X. I am not aware of any real good schema design tools on Mac. Does anybody know? Mike Brandon Whitehead - Academic HR wrote: I'm very sorry if this seems like a silly question but...
