Statically compiling the API: msg#00030

Subject:	Statically compiling the API

Hi,

I am using the g++ compiler.
Is it possible to compile the Mysql C++ API statically so that I can run my
executable on another machine without actually installing the API on that 
machine.

How do I link the sqlplus library statically with my application?
