Installing MySQL++ on Slackware 8.1: msg#00065db.mysql.c++
Hello everybody, I'm new to this list, just joined yesterday. Anyway, I have a problem. I need to write an application in C++ that connects to a MySQL-database so naturally I downloaded MySQL++. It installed very nicely on my Windows-machine but when I tried to install the Linux-version on my Slackware-machine all I got was a bunch of errors. My MySQL-installation is from the binary-distribution and it has worked great this far. However, I just can't seem to get MySQL++ installed. Somebody told me to go get the Development-RPM from the MySQL-site and install that and that then installing MySQL++ should be no problem. Wrong. I still can't get the thing to install. All I get is a million different errors. I know others have had problems installing MySQL++ on Linux. Will someone PLEASE help me because I really need to get this working SOON. Some easy-to-follow line-by-line-instructions would be very nice, and I don't mean like in the README-file because obviously those instructions did not work for me. I've tried a million different online-forums to no avail so I'm getting very desperate here. Daniel Löfquist ---------- >>> www.kingsofcode.net <<< "codito, ergo sum" |
