MySql ++ Installation

Hi all,

I am a new user to MySQL++. I am trying to install it
on Solaris 2.8. I got MySQL++ 1.7.9 from mysql.com.

README file asked me to do automake, autoconfig and
then ./configure

When i did "automake" it said :

automake: Makefile.am: required file `./INSTALL' not
found
automake: Makefile.am: required file `./NEWS' not
found
automake: Makefile.am: required file `./COPYING' not
found
automake: Makefile.am: required file `./AUTHORS' not
found
automake: Makefile.am: required file `./ChangeLog'
not found
*******************************************

When i did "./configure" it errored at a point saying
:
*******************************************
checking for MySQL library directory... configure:
error: Didn't find the mysql library dir in ''
*******************************************

Could anyone please help?
