Installation and Usage help needed

Hello all!

Please consider me a total amateur ;-)

I want to start with mysql++ but I cannot find any hints on how to 
compile sources, do I need to include the lib?

Furthermore has anyone any experience with the usage under gcc 3.1 or 3.2?

Has anyone got it to compile under gcc 3.1 or 3.2? (I could only compile 
it with 2.95.3)
