Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Are you sure? Looks like you missed some webpages:

http://www.mysql.com/training/courses/using_and_developing_maxdb.html
http://www.mysql.com/training/courses/maxdb_administration.html

Feel free to book to courses.

In addition topics like recommended server setup like disk-layout, file systenm type etc. would be interesting.

Very general topics, hard to give more than good-practice advises. In general MaxDB has been designed with the assumption that I/O is getting more and more less important and people start to use more and more SAN solutions.

Best regards,
Ulf
