Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Hi,

to increase data base performance in general you should increase
CACHE_SIZE
parameter so the data base could use more memory for caching pages and
reduce
I/O.
To speed up index creation you should have a look on _IDXFILE_LIST_SIZE
parameter.
This parameter directly influences the parallel Create Index algorithm.

"SELECT COUNT(*)" should use an index scan if the index is smaller than
the table
but this could although be very slow. But with version 7.6 we hope to
speed up such
selects.

The drop table doesn't release the used space directly. Server tasks do
the job asynchronous.
So you have to wait a while.

Kind regrds
