Could you try to unpack the sources using gtar? Using Solaris tar, I got a directory checksum error on the directory SAPDB/DBM/Srv/Commands/BackupHistory, but everything worked fine using gtar. I build the tar balls using gtar --posix, but maybe that's not enough once a certain path length is exceeded. >I have also seen this stuff on recent cvs checkouts of maxdb-7500 Perhaps your cvs executable has a limit on file name length? I'm actually feeding the cvs server from a Solaris 5.6. When checking out maxdb-7500 to a different directory, the directory SAPDB/DBM/Srv/Commands/BackupHistory was complete.
