BACKINT for SAPDB and BACKINT for Oracle: msg#00260db.maxdb
Hello, I have successfully connected BACKINT for SAPDB to BACKINT for Oracle (TSM) through the SAPDB Adapter Program. We are using SAPDB 7.3 Build 048 and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for ERP Version 3.3.4. I have created two different backup mediums for DATA and LOGS (BACK_Dat and BACK_Log). The BACKINT for Oracle (TSM Implementation) is also able to separate DATA and LOGS in so called Management Classes to store DATA and LOGS on different TSM volumes (in different storage groups). It seems that the BACKINT for SAPDB program (or SAPDB adapter program) doesn't pass the information whether it's a complete or a log backup to the BACKINT for Oracle Interface. All backups (DATA and LOGS) are stored in the DATA management class of Tivoli Storage Manager. Does anyone know, if there is a possibility to separate these backup types and pass this information to BACKINT for Oracle?
