vtrace error

Hi!
I am trying to catch a problem I got and tried to do a vtrace. However, I am 
running into:

C:\Program Files\sapdb\depend\bin>dbmcli -d netswing -u xxx,yyy trace_prot akb
ERR
-24964,ERR_EXECUTE: error in program execution
1,""C:\PROGRAM FILES\SAPDB\DEPEND\bin\xkernprot" -d NETSWING akb"
*** ERROR -903: HOST FILE OPEN  ERROR, wrong file or device name

I am using MAXDB 7.4.3.30 on W2000 (US-Version).
According to an earlier posting from Elke Zabach I suceeded to do the same 
manually (C:\Program Files\sapdb\indep_data\wrk\NETSWING>c:\"program 
files"\sapdb\depend\bin\xkernprot -f knltrace akbm) but I still wanted to 
report.
