Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. why not consider Debian instead of FreeBSD? It's a solid distro that is
community supported much like FreeBSD... hmmm hmmm?

Subject: Future official MaxDB FreeBSD port?
Importance: High

Has MySQL + SAPDB team made any recent comments about FreeBSD port? I know
there is a third-party for SAPDB 7.3, but wanted to know if since the MySQL
joint venture if "official position" is heading toward an "official FreeBSD
port"?

Commentary: With Redhat now moving toward emphasis of the server line being
pay $, a lot of Linux customers we have seen are considering FreeBSD 5.2 as
a future platform... Where now they are running Redhat 7.x series and
looking to plan their next major upgrade. We won't even do more than hint
the mess that is the SCO FUD. One could gamble + speculate that there might
be some growth in the FreeBSD platform for servers over the next couple
years. Not that Linux has anything to fear, but perhaps those coming from
Sun/Microsoft may consider it...

Thanks.
