I have done a test and looks like it's not possible to use the provider 
in express as it's right now for that it will be nedded
to identify in the DDEX provider the connections as local ( the express 
editions doesn't allow remote connections to be defined =


That is something that isn't diffcult to do ( if i'm not wrong ) but 
that is not being done right now.

The FbDataSourceInformation class needs to be modified to add something 
like this in the constructor ( while i haven't tested it yet ):

            base.AddProperty("DeskTopDataSource", true);
            base.AddProperty("LocalDatabase", true);
