In the first paragraph, you talk about duplicating records. The error
has nothing to do with that.
The error tells me your script is trying to save a copy of the file
under the same name as one which is already open. Perhaps the file
executing the script, perhaps a related file.
If you want to save a copy of the file, it has to be under a
different name than one that's open, or in a different folder.
