Candidate will be actively working with the application development
team.
The applicant must have in-depth experience with ER diagramming and
data modeling tools.
The candidate must have the following skills sets:
· Strong expertise in data modeling with Erwin
· Good understanding of Oracle 9i architecture
· Candidate must have good understanding of operational issues
in the production environment.
· Proactively perform query and index optimization.
· Must have proficiency in SQL tuning using explain plan, tkprof
· Experience with load testing of the database.
· Measurement of performance using bstat/estat and Statspac and
performance tuning.
· Build capacity model for deployment in production
· Good understanding of XML and JDBC
· Proficient at capacity monitoring and management capabilities
· Scripting using unix shell scripts and PL/SQL
· Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
Familiarity with other databases such as MySQL, DB2 is a plus.
Experience with designing data warehouse database is a plus.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications,
strong
problem resolution, analysis, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities is a
necessity.
Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively
with other team members is required.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to function in high-pressure
situations.
