CALL FOR PAPERS
In recent years, given the inadequacy of individual intelligent technologies,
in what regards
a number of aspects of information systems, there has been an overwhelming
amount of
research work on systems, methods or techniques that integrate more than one
intelligent
technology. The Special Track (ST) seeks for quality papers on systems, methods
or
techniques that integrate an AI technology/methodology with another AI or
non-AI technology/
methodology. Topics of interest include (but not limited to) the following:

Case-based Reasoning Integrations
Fuzzy Expert Systems
Genetic Algorithms Integrations
Hybrid Knowledge Representation Systems
Integration of Data Mining and Databases
Integration of Data Mining and Knowledge Management
Integration of Neural Networks and Expert Systems
Intelligent Agent Based Integrated Systems
Intelligent Decision Support Systems
Knowledge-Based Neural Networks
Knowledge Extraction from Neural Networks
Integrated Knowledge Representation on the Web
Neuro-Fuzzy Evolutionary Systems
Web-based Applications with AI
Hybrid and Distributed Ontologies

Interested authors should format their papers according to AAAI formatting
guidelines.
The papers should not exceed 6 pages and are due by October 22nd, 2004.
Submissions
will be done electronically via the FLAIRS web submission system available at
http://earth.cs.ccsu.edu/~flairs/submission.html, must be original work and
should not
identify author(s) in any manner. Authors will be notified about acceptance by
January 7th,
2005. Camera-ready copy of accepted papers will be due by February 4th, 2005.

Accepted papers will be included in the FLAIRS-2003 proceedings, published by
AAAI Press.
AAAI proceedings format is required for the camera-ready copy. Selected authors
will be
invited to submit extended versions of their papers to a special issue of the
International
Journal on AI Tools (IJAIT). Selected papers will receive best-paper awards.
