The International University in GermanySchool of Information Technologyinvites applications for the following position: Assistant Professorship in Databases and Information SystemsApplicants should possess a PhD and have a proven track record in both teaching and research in the area of databases and information systems. Specific experiences in database-related areas such as data mining, Web services, transaction processing systems, information retrieval would be particularly welcome. Applicants must be willing and able to participate in the interdisciplinary projects in the School of IT and between the schools of the university. Intensive collaboration with industry and partners from other academic institutions. In teaching, contributions to both the graduate and the undergraduate programs supported by the School of IT are expected. The International University in Germany (IU) and the School of Information TechnologyIU's School of Information Technology has established core competencies in the various applications of IT in business, engineering, science, and administration. It offers a B.Sc. degree in Information & Communication Technology and M.Sc. degrees in Information & Communication Technology and Computer Science. Its current research groups are Computational Intelligence, Networking & Distributed Systems, Computer Graphics & Vision, and Social Informatics. The new assistant professor is expected to re-establish a research group in Databases, and work collaboratively with other groups.
