Last Date for Industry Track Submissions: July 30, 2005 The 21st International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE 2005) http://icde2005.is.tsukuba.ac.jp/ Call for Papers Industrial Track Scope Industry Track of the Data Engineering Conference encourages interaction between academics and practitioners in the industry. The ICDE 2005 International Conference on Data Engineering provides a premier forum for: -- sharing novel research solutions to problems of today's information society -- exposing practicing engineers to evolving research, tools, and practices and providing them with an early opportunity to evaluate these -- raising awareness in the research community of the problems of practical applications of data engineering -- promoting the exchange of data engineering technologies and experience among researchers and practicing engineers -- identifying new issues and directions for future research and development work. Topics of Interests ICDE 2005 invites research submissions on all topics related to data engineering, including but not limited to those listed below: -- Data Warehouse, OLAP, ETL Tools -- Mining Data, Text, Web and Semi-structured Data and XML -- Real Time and Business Analytics -- Stream Processing, Continuous Queries, and Sensor Databases -- Sensor and RFID Networks -- Middleware, Web Services, and Workflow -- Heterogeneity, Semantic Web, and Metadata -- Privacy and Security -- Policy and Compliance -- Database Applications and Experiences -- Temporal, Spatial, Scientific, and Biological Databases -- Distributed, Parallel, Web, and P2P Databases -- Data Management for Ubiquitous and Mobile Computing -- Database System Internals and Performance -- Query Processing and Optimization Please email industry track papers to icde2005_industry_track-BI6C26+1BusSpmxQ0ygm9Q@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx by July 30, 2004, in 8.5" X 11" IEEE camera-ready format, with a 12-page limit. All papers received will be acknowledged by email within 2 business days. Further instructions will be posted on the Submissions web page of the conference web site. All accepted papers will appear in the Proceedings published by the IEEE Computer Society. Separate Award will be given to the best paper of the Industry Track.
