DILS04 : Call for Participation: msg#00186db.dbworld
DILS-04, Call for Participation First International Workshop on Data Integration in the Life Sciences (DILS 2004) University of Leipzig, Germany March 25-26, 2004 http://izbi.uni-leipzig.de/dils04 DILS-04 is a new bioinformatics workshop focussing on data management and data integration. The program committee accepted after a careful evaluation process 13 long and 2 short papers. Workshop highlights will be two invited talks by Thure Etzold (architect of SRS, and president of Lion Bioscience) and Svante Paeboo (Director Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology). Detailed information on the program, invited speakers, location and registration can be found on the workshop website http://izbi.uni-leipzig.de/dils04 Online registration is open. Early registration deadline is March 1. The workshop takes place at the same time as the famous Leipzig book fair. The DILS04 organizers have reserved hotel rooms for participants but fast reservation is highly recommended. --------------------------------------------------- Preliminary Program Thursday March 25, 2004 08:30 REGISTRATION 09:15 Session 1: Opening and Invited Talk 09:15 Welcome Erhard Rahm, Univ. of Leipzig, Germany 09:30 Invited Talk 1: Thure Etzold, Lion BioScience, Cambridge, UK 11:15 Session 2: Scientific and Clinical Workflows An Ontology-Driven Framework for Data Transformation in Scientific Workflows S.
