EUROSIM 2004 - Speial session: Modeling and simulation of object based soft: msg#00130db.dbworld
EUROSIM04 is the 5th Conference on Modeling and Simulation organised by the Federation of European Simulation Societies (EUROSIM). The Conference will take place in September 2004 at ESIEE Paris, Marne la Vallee, FRANCE. Paper Submissions: Original papers, which have not previously been published elsewhere, should be submitted. The deadline for submitting extended abstracts is February 13, 2004. Publications: Accepted papers will be published in the congress proceedings and will be distributed at the conference. Selected papers on special issues will be published in the SIMPRA journal. For more information you may visit the conference site: http://www.esiee.fr/~eurosim4/ If you need some information, please do not hesitate to send an email to the conference chair: y.hamam-93gvhTKbTR0@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Special session: Modeling and simulation of object based software systems Contact persons: Panagiotis Katsaros, Aristotle Un. of Thessaloniki, Greece katsaros-nS1Tg549IMhMo1R+fwTmgw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Constantine Lazos, Aristotle Un. of Thessaloniki, Greece clazos-nS1Tg549IMhMo1R+fwTmgw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos, Harokopio Un. of Athens, Greece dimosthe-QEEizZED12Y@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Maria Nikolaidou, University of Athens, Greece mara-brBP6YrziORQFI55V6+gNQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx As the strategic value of the theory and practice of object-oriented technologies increases, we look for new techniques to improve quality and reduce cost and time-to-market, in software development. Techniques that will allow us to successfully assess and manage the qualitative and quantitative complexity of systems. Modeling and simulation provide a high-level system view that permits to reason about how the key requirements of the system will be satisfied. As the complexity of systems increases, so does the importance of good modeling techniques. In this session, authors are encouraged to submit novel modeling and simulation techniques regarding any functional or quantitative aspect of object based software systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - model checking - design quality metrics - performance modeling - physical distribution - concurrency control - object replication - security - load balancing - fault tolerance - mobile object based computing - quality of service design - benchmarking and measurement - workload characterization and generation - middleware performance - UML based modeling - actor based modeling techniques -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe or unsubscribe yourself from dbworld, send a msg to majordomo-hcNo3dDEHLuVc3sceRu5cw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with one of these lines: subscribe dbworld OR unsubscribe dbworld To find out more options send a msg with the line: help To post messages, go to URL www.cs.wisc.edu/dbworld -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
