**** **** Early registration deadline ends April 30th, 2003 **** **** CAiSE'03 The 15th Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering Velden, Austria, 16 - 20 June, 2003 Call for Participation http://www.isys.uni-klu.ac.at/caise03 You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the 15th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE'03) to be held in Klagenfurt/Velden, Austria, June 16-20, 2003. The Conference Theme "Information Systems for a Connected Society" is set forth in three invited talks by world renowned scientists: Marek Rusinkiewicz on Self-Managing Large Scale Information Systems Katja Sycara on Autonomous Semantic Web Services Serge Abiteboul on Managing an XML warehouse in a P2P Context In addition, the programme includes 45 high-quality technical papers, selected from 220 submissions, poster presentations, 2 panels, 9 workshops featuring on-going research, and 2 tutorials by international experts. Topics are: Semantic Web, Web Services, Knowledge Management, XML, UML, Ontologies, Conceptual Modeling, Ubiquitous Mobile Information and Collaboration Systems, Decision Systems, Product Software, Requirements Engineering, and many more. Of course, the technical programme is not the only attraction of the conference. Velden is a well known resort town on the beaches of Lake Woerthersee, a major and fashionable tourist destination in southern Austria. Main attractions are the beautiful landscape of lakes, green hills and Rocky Mountains with numerous marked trails for hiking or climbing, all kinds of water sports and last but not least castles, churches, mansions, monuments.... The social program will include a boat trip on Lake Woerthersee and a banquet in a medieval castle. In addition there will be some offerings for trips in the adjoining weekends. We hope your stay will not only be scientifically rewarding but also enjoyable. We are looking forward to seeing you at the conference. Velden is 25 km from the International Airport of Klagenfurt which offers direct flight connections to Vienna, London and Frankfurt.
