You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the 15th International
Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE'03) to be held in
Klagenfurt/Velden, Austria, June 16-20, 2003.

The Conference Theme "Information Systems for a Connected Society" is set forth
in three invited talks by world renowned scientists:

Marek Rusinkiewicz on Self-Managing Large Scale Information Systems
Katja Sycara on Autonomous Semantic Web Services
Serge Abiteboul on Managing an XML warehouse in a P2P Context

In addition, the programme includes 45 high-quality technical papers, selected
from 220 submissions, poster presentations, 2 panels, 9 workshops featuring
on-going research, and 2 tutorials by international experts.
Topics are:

Semantic Web, Web Services, Knowledge Management,
XML, UML, Ontologies, Conceptual Modeling,
Ubiquitous Mobile Information and Collaboration Systems,
Decision Systems, Product Software, Requirements Engineering,
and many more.

Of course, the technical programme is not the only attraction of the
conference. Velden is a well known resort town on the beaches of Lake
Woerthersee, a major and fashionable tourist destination in southern Austria.
Main attractions are the beautiful landscape of lakes, green hills and Rocky
Mountains with numerous marked trails for hiking or climbing, all kinds of
water sports and last but not least castles, churches, mansions, monuments....

The social program will include a boat trip on Lake Woerthersee and a banquet
in a medieval castle. In addition there will be some offerings for trips in the
adjoining weekends. We hope your stay will not only be scientifically rewarding
but also enjoyable.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the conference.
