CEUR-WS.org/ free online workshop proceedings: msg#00048db.dbworld
CEUR-WS.org A site for free online workshop proceedings Dear colleagues, this is to draw your attention to the CEUR-WS.org site which is dedicated since 1995 to free online workshop proceedings. There are currently over 60 proceedings online. Organizers of workshops who are thinking of alternatives to hardcopy proceedings are welcome to use the service of CEUR-WS.org. The advantages are: - Uniform reference to both proceedings volumes and articles, e.g. http://CEUR-WS.org/Vol-1/ --> A complete proceedings volume http://CEUR-WS.org/Vol-1/lenzerini.ps ---> An article inside a volume Unlike online papers on home pages, the URL of CEUR-WS proceedings remains unchanged thanks to the logical domain CEUR-WS.org. - Indexed via Citeseer and DBLP Most volumes and articles are indexed via these popular services. That makes articles published via CEUR-WS.org visible to a large readership. - Almost no downtimes Thanks to the service of Sun SITE Central Europe *), the proceedings volumes are reachable virtually all time. Within the last 8 years, the proccedings were unreachable for only a few hours. - Little format constraints There is in principal no format constraint for published articles. In fact, not only papers can be made available but also accompanying slides, videos etc. The only hard constraint is to provide an index.html file that follows some formatting guidelines. - Very fast publication cycle As soon as the proceedings are uploaded to CEUR-WS.org, it takes usually less that 24 hours before they become online. - Simple and clear copyright scheme Copyright remains with proceedings editors and the authors. CEUR-WS.org acquires no rights. Proceedings editors keep the right to withdraw a volume from CEUR-WS.org. - No fees CEUR-WS services are free for the scientific community. More details can be obtained from http:/CEUR-WS.org/HOWTOSUBMIT.html Kind regards, Manfred Jeusfeld Tilburg University, The Netherlands Manager of CEUR-WS.org --- *) Sun SITE Central Europe is a grant from Sun Microsystems to the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH). It is operated by the computer science department Informatik 5 headed by Matthias Jarke. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe or unsubscribe yourself from dbworld, send a msg to majordomo-hcNo3dDEHLuVc3sceRu5cw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with one of these lines: subscribe dbworld OR unsubscribe dbworld To find out more options send a msg with the line: help To post messages, go to URL www.cs.wisc.edu/dbworld --------------------------------------------------------------------------
