http://www.mbusiness2003.org

The 2nd International Conference on Mobile Business aims at creating an
inter-disciplinary forum for academics, managers, policy makers and
technologists to debate the commercialisation of new business models exploiting
wireless and mobile networks. The focus is on presenting a clear and complete
view on past experiences as well as on future perspectives for the sustainable
deployment of mobile applications and services.

The conference invites decision makers and experts from government, academia,
research, finance, regulation, network operators, equipment & infrastructure
suppliers, content providers, application developer, service integrators and
any other sector confronted with the mobile business challenge. The objective
is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and the pursuit of innovative research
avenues.

Special incentives are integrated to attract business organisations, like an
industrial track and an exhibition area.

Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the International
Journal of Mobile Communications!

AREAS OF INTEREST include, but are not limited to:
o Value added services and applications
o Technologies for m-business

m>BUSINESS 2003 invites to submit contributions for the following conference
tracks:

RESEARCH TRACK & FUTURES PAPERS
The research community is invited to submit theoretical and empirical papers
making a significant research contribution on m-Business. Futures papers should
introduce visionary concepts looking deeper into the future of the mobile
society and providing stimulating ideas that extend our current frames of
thinking. Research track contributions and futures papers will be reviewed by
the Program Committee and will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

INDUSTRIAL TRACK & DEMONSTRATIONS
Researchers and business developers are invited to send their contributions
dealing with innovative services, applications or methods with a high market
relevance or of special importance for the industry. Demonstration proposals
should include a description of the demo, the presenter and affiliated
organization and equipment to be used. These contributions should offer
conference participants hands-on experience of the latest developments and to
accelerate the diffusion of innovations. Evaluation will be based on their
practical relevance and impact.

WORKSHOPS & TUTORIALS
Small-group workshops will debate specific technological and business issues
through structured facilitated processes. Workshop proposals should include a
description and rationale of the topic, the objectives and expected outcomes of
the workshop, the profile of intended participants and an outline of the
facilitation process (2 - 3 pages). Tutorials should focus on up-to-date
technologies and/or methods. Potential instructors are invited to submit
proposals of 2-3 pages, including a biographical sketch. Evaluation of
proposals will be based on the expertise and experience of the submitter, and
on the relevance of the subject matter.

PANELS
This track intends to enhance the debate on short-term and long-term
developments. Panels examining innovative issues of interest on mobile business
are solicited. But we also encourage to submit critical and provocative
contributions. Panel proposals should include the objectives, indicative
discussion questions and biographical sketches of the panelists.
