The Machine Learning Group at the Research Institute for Advanced Computer 
Science
at NASA Ames Research Center invites applications in the following areas:

- Senior Scientist - Machine Learning
  Synopsis: R&D in machine learning and data mining; 10 years experience.
  Location: Moffett Field, CA

- Senior Scientist - Machine Learning and Space Sciences
  Synopsis: R&D in machine learning and data mining; space science background; 
5 years experience.
  Location: Moffett Field, CA

- Senior Scientist - Bioinformatics
  Synopsis: R&D in bioinformatics; strong computer science background; 5 years 
experience.
  Location: Moffett Field, CA

- Scientist - Bioinformatics and Machine Learning
  Synopsis: R&D in bioinformatics; strong computer science and machine learning 
background;
            2 years experience.
  Location: Moffett Field, CA

The Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science (RIACS) carries out basic 
research
and technology development in computer science, in support of the National 
Aeronautics
and Space Administration's missions in space exploration and aeronautics. RIACS 
is
located at the NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) between San Francisco and San 
Jose,
California, in the heart of Silicon Valley.  ARC has been designated NASA's
Center of Excellence in Information Technology. In this capacity, ARC is charged
with the responsibility to build an information technology research program that
is preeminent within NASA. RIACS serves as a bridge between NASA ARC and the
academic community, and RIACS scientists and visitors work in close 
collaboration
with NASA scientists. RIACS is operated for NASA by the Universities Space 
Research
Association, a non-profit consortium of research universities that serves as a
bridge between NASA and the academic community.
